My journey as a visual and graphic designer began back in 2012. As a child, I loved drawing cartoons, playtime with my sisters, decorating my room, and helping my mom rearrange furniture. These early creative pursuits ignited my passion for design and set me on a path to explore the exciting worlds of digital media and creative branding.
Over the past year, I've had the privilege of working as a marketer at Diverse Technology, a national flooring contracting company. My role focuses on creating corporate media content and promotions, allowing me to blend my design skills with strategic communication. This position has enabled me to develop a keen understanding of brand identity and the impact of visually compelling content on audience engagement.
My academic journey has been both challenging and rewarding. I graduated from UC Davis with two degrees in Cinema & Digital Media and Design, completed within four years. During my time on campus, I spearheaded multiple organizations, balancing my leadership roles with academic excellence. Overcoming depression during this period has been a significant part of my story, shaping my resilience and determination to succeed.
As a Palestinian American, my upbringing has been a blend of rich cultural experiences. I spent half of my childhood and preteen years in Jerusalem, Palestine, and Amman, Jordan, and the other half in America. This bicultural background has profoundly influenced my perspective and creativity, allowing me to infuse diverse cultural elements into my design work.
I am academically driven and constantly curious. I'm always planning multiple projects and am eager to return to school in a design-related field to further expand my knowledge. I believe there is always more to learn, and I am committed to continuous growth and improvement in my craft.
In my free time, I love making short films with friends from college who started the production company "UrbanLangCorporation." Collaborating on these creative projects allows me to explore different storytelling techniques and enhance my filmmaking skills. I also enjoy creating brand identities, logos, and graphics for friends and anyone in need, finding joy in helping others bring their visions to life.
