This is the Website Redesign included with the brand redesign of the DPR (please read Logos Section if you have not). Designed and prototyped entirely in Figma and redesigned in SquareSpace. I had many drafts of the project but after peer review, finalizing a target audience, and honing in on the UX research I was able to construct the site into what it is currently. There are about nine parts to the website and mobile site.
SPILL is a period app that doesn't track cycles, instead, by using geolocation or entering a zip code users are able to locate free menstrual products in their area. SPILL also provides numerous activities within the app to keep users engaged as well as generate free products the more you play. Through interviews, personas, and competitive analysis, I was able to cultivate a target audience, and create based on marginalized peoples' needs.
There is also a website explaining the process. The Call To Action is simple; Find Products, Play Games, and Take Action. Find free menstrual products in your area, play leveled games that help generate revenue while you reach your destination, and email/ write to your representative to have more accessible period products. If users are uncomfortable with the usual default pastels, they have the ability to change the color of the entire app making it more gender inclusive. I was able to prototype this project using Figma.
